Avocados, for example, have had more comebacks than fat burners and BCAAs. Seriously, how many times have we been told to eat avocado toast in your life? And kiwis, the nutrient-packed superfood, are apparently going to save us all. Let’s not forget the carnivore diet enthusiasts who believe beef should be its own food group.

But here’s the deal: you don’t need to eat avocados, kiwis, or beef to be healthy. In fact, there are entire food groups you can skip and still thrive. Imagine a life without grains. Scary? Not really. You can be as healthy as a clam (and by the way, are clams really that healthy? They do smile a lot, so maybe they’re just really happy).
